35mm Retro

Terms of use

Effective date: 21 August 2026 · Upcoming app name and output-size description clarified 18 September 2026. Prices and access rules are unchanged.

The rename from 35mm Batch to 35mm Retro is coming in version 1.2, subject to App Store approval. The current published app is 35mm Batch 1.1. References to 35mm Retro in these terms cover that same app under its current and upcoming names. Existing purchases and qualifying early-user access continue to apply to the same app.

These terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA) and the applicable Apple Media Services terms.

Free allowance

New customers may successfully develop up to 36 photos without charge. A photo counts only after processing and writing the selected output succeeds; failed processing does not count. If a batch is larger than the remaining allowance, 35mm Retro asks the customer to reduce the batch or unlock Unlimited access rather than processing only part of the batch.

The allowance is enforced using local device storage designed to persist through reinstalls. It does not currently synchronise between devices.

Unlimited access

Unlimited Weekly and Unlimited Annual are auto-renewing subscriptions. Unlimited Lifetime is a non-consumable, one-time purchase. While the relevant entitlement is active, Unlimited removes the photo allowance limit. All included film looks and controls remain available, with original-size output for new copies, file exports and sharing, plus the option to edit eligible originals in Photos.

“Lifetime” means a one-time purchase for unlimited access for the supported commercial lifetime of 35mm Retro. It is not tied to the customer’s lifetime and does not guarantee that the app or every feature will be available indefinitely.

Customers who first obtained 35mm Retro before paid access was introduced remain eligible for Unlimited access when that eligibility can be verified using Apple’s signed original app transaction.

Billing and renewal

Payment is charged to the customer’s Apple Account when purchase is confirmed. Weekly and Annual subscriptions renew automatically for the same duration unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the account within 24 hours before renewal. The localised price displayed by the App Store purchase screen is the price that applies.

Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through the customer’s Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting 35mm Retro does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, access normally continues until the end of the paid period unless Apple refunds or revokes the transaction.

Restoration and refunds

Restorable purchases can be recovered using Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple Account. Apple administers billing, cancellations and refund requests. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Your photos and exports

35mm Retro is provided for personal photo editing and development. You are responsible for the photos you import, the permissions you grant and the destinations you choose when saving, exporting or sharing. Keep your own backups of important originals.
